What to expect

Placement, permits and winter realities

On your own driveway or private property, no permit is required anywhere we deliver in Northampton County or the surrounding Lehigh Valley towns. If a container needs to sit on a public street instead, City of Bethlehem, PA is the office to confirm a temporary placement permit with for an address inside Bethlehem itself; Allentown, Easton handle that the same way through their own city offices, and each of the boroughs and townships on our list — including Whitehall, Bethlehem Township, Hanover Township — sets and confirms its own public-right-of-way rules separately. If your project involves any digging or footing work, call PA One Call System (call 811 before you dig) first so underground lines get located before a bucket ever goes in the ground.

Winter genuinely changes the calculus here. Nor'easters, ice storms and the freeze-thaw cycle that runs through a typical Northampton County winter can turn a driveway that was fine in October into a soft, cracking, or ice-glazed surface by February — tell us about that and we'll pick a placement, or extra boards, that account for it. HOA rules are also worth a heads-up: newer subdivisions out in Bethlehem Township and Hanover Township often have their own covenants on how long a container can sit visible from the street, where a denser, older neighborhood like South Bethlehem is more likely to have a narrow-street or tight-access issue instead.

Local knowledge

Why local coverage actually matters

Anyone can put a list of place names on a web page. What makes a difference on delivery day is whether the driver you get has actually been down your street.

Our own drivers know that narrow rowhome streets in South Bethlehem need a different approach than a wide new driveway out in Bethlehem Township or Hanover Township, and they know which driveways turn slick after an ice storm or heave after a hard freeze-thaw stretch. They also know the routine of running out to Allentown and Whitehall in Lehigh County, and what a nor'easter's worth of downed limbs weighs by the time a truck gets back to it.

That local knowledge is the difference between a container that lands exactly where you want it and a wasted trip.
