Harringtons Dumpster Rental is a locally operated dumpster rental service
Harringtons Dumpster Rental Bethlehem is a locally operated dumpster rental service, providing roll-off rentals directly out of our own yard at 330 Stoke Park Rd, Bethlehem, PA 18017 to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and the surrounding Lehigh Valley. In the great majority of cases, your request is handled directly by Harringtons Dumpster Rental — our own trucks, our own crew, our own flat rate. In some cases, we may partner with trusted local service providers to fulfill demand during peak times or specific project needs, and where that happens we may receive a referral fee or compensation from that provider. You will never pay extra as a result. Your request is handled directly by Harringtons Dumpster Rental Bethlehem or, when applicable, by a trusted local service provider, and we will make clear to you which one applies to your booking.
General information only
The content on harringtonsdumpsterrental.com — including our guides, blog articles, size charts, weight estimates and location pages — is published for general informational purposes to help you plan and describe your job accurately when you call. It reflects general industry practice around Bethlehem and Northampton County, but it is not professional advice, and specific pricing, availability and container terms are confirmed with you directly at the time of booking, whether the job is fulfilled by us or by a trusted local service provider.
How local government works here
Northampton County does not run a single consolidated city-county government — every community on our service list, and the county itself, has its own separate municipal government, which is the ordinary pattern across Pennsylvania. Allentown, Easton are their own cities; Hellertown, Nazareth, Fountain Hill, Coopersburg, Freemansburg, Northampton are boroughs; and Whitehall, Bethlehem Township, Hanover Township are townships — each with its own local government and its own rules on permits and the public right-of-way. Ten of the eleven communities we serve sit in Northampton County alongside our own yard: Easton, Hellertown, Nazareth, Bethlehem Township, Hanover Township, Freemansburg, Northampton. Allentown, Fountain Hill, Whitehall, Coopersburg sit across the county line in Lehigh County instead, each with its own separate county government. Hanover Township, Northampton County — one of the townships we serve — is a genuinely different government from the similarly named Hanover Township in Lehigh County near Allentown, which we do not serve; if your project is near that name, confirm which township your address actually falls in before assuming either one's rules apply.
Regulations change
Permit requirements, right-of-way rules, disposal fees, recycling programs and winter-related road restrictions are set by governments, not by us, and they change without notice. Anything we say about them is our general understanding at the time of writing. Always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant authority before you rely on it:
- City of Bethlehem, PA — permits, right-of-way and city refuse programs for Bethlehem
- Northampton County, PA — county services and household hazardous waste
- Lehigh County Government — governs Allentown, Fountain Hill, Whitehall, Coopersburg
- Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) — Pennsylvania solid waste regulation
- Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) — PennDOT road and right-of-way information
- PA One Call System (call 811 before you dig) — call 811 before any digging
Any of the boroughs and townships listed above may layer its own permit or right-of-way rule on top of the county's — when in doubt, call that municipality's own office directly rather than assuming a county-wide answer covers it.
Estimates are estimates
Container dimensions, capacities, weight allowances, project sizing guidance and any prices or price ranges shown on this site are approximate, general to the industry, and provided to help you describe your job when you call. Actual debris weights vary enormously with moisture, material and age — wet, storm-soaked yard debris in particular. Nothing on this site constitutes a binding quotation. A rate is only binding once it is confirmed directly with you, whether by Harringtons Dumpster Rental or by a trusted local service provider fulfilling your request.
Liability where a trusted local partner is involved
Where Harringtons Dumpster Rental fulfills your rental directly, we stand behind our own service. Where, in some cases, a trusted local service provider fulfills your request instead, Harringtons Dumpster Rental accepts no liability for that provider's acts, omissions, pricing, licensing, insurance status, service quality, timeliness or property damage beyond the reasonable care we take in selecting partners who represent themselves as licensed and insured to operate in Pennsylvania. We do not guarantee, and are not responsible for, a partner's ongoing compliance, conduct or performance.
Permit and placement responsibility
Unless we specifically agree in writing to secure a permit on your behalf, responsibility for any required placement permit — and for confirming whether one is needed for your address — rests with you, the customer. On private property, no permit is generally required anywhere we serve; placement on a public street is where a permit most often applies, and which office to contact depends on the specific city, borough or township involved — see the list above.
Not engineering or safety advice
Guidance on driveway loading, demolition, roof work, mold, asbestos and hazardous materials is general in nature. Structural, environmental and safety questions should be referred to a qualified professional — a structural engineer, a licensed abatement contractor, or your local building department as appropriate. See OSHA for workplace safety requirements.
